Led by Dr. Matthias Gotte at the University of Alberta, Core C (Enzymology) provides Research Projects with detailed mechanisms of action for READDI-AC compounds identified by Core B (Discovery) and optimized by Core D (Medicinal Chemistry). This is achieved through novel enzymatic assays, analysis of enzyme kinetics, single molecule resolution of enzyme dynamics, and cryo-EM and crystallography-based structural studies.
Enzymology Core C of the READDI-AC includes seven internationally recognized laboratories that provide complementary expertise at the interfaces of virology, biochemistry, biophysics, and structural biology.
